See I disagree with that, its not right to call anyone or yourself “cripple”. The way I see it the best word in this situation is “human” or “I have a disability”. Anything else is derogatory. For example there are people in are family who make fun of my cousin,and take advantage of him,just because he has a disability, and he doesn’t know better. They use names like “whats up cripple?”. Im are you all serious right now! that’s why I hate hate that word. In Maris case she use that word to call herself, nobody else.i mean why se a word that puts you down. That’s like me saying “oh I’m a beaner,not hispanic”.well regardless if I call my self “ beaner” its still going to have a negative connotation toward my self ,and people.
