My guest on today’s podcast is Nancy Dykstra. Nancy is the Executive Director of Promise Community Health Center, which is one of 13 health centers in Iowa. Promise is a not-for-profit, patient directed, healthcare center which provides comprehensive primary and preventive healthcare. Those comprehensive services include medical, dental, prenatal, behavioral, and vision care. Promise was founded in July of 2008, with a unique mission of serving the underserved, underinsured, or uninsured patients. What’s fascinating about Nancy’s story is how she was able to connect with other like-minded individuals who caught the vision and helped drive the success of the organization.
