The thing that I learned from chapter one is that globalization means the trend towards a more integrated global economic system. I also learned that there are two key factors which are globalization of markets and globalization of production. These companies benefit from global opportunities and promote a greater globalization. Companies hope by sourcing and producing products in an optimal location, they would be able to compete against their rivals. Many countries erected the barriers to the free flow of goods across borders and limited the ability of firms to invest. The FDI takes place when a firm invests in business activities outside their home country. For what I understand in chapter two, National Differences in Political Economy
