Naba Khan, the art teacher who started by illustrating the struggles of Toronto's homeless population to becoming one of the most life-changing individuals for the well-being of Canadians, dies Tuesday at her home in Woodbridge, Ontario six days after her 89th birthday.
Her dad, Afzal Khan, reported to the dispatcher that Mrs. Khan died in her sleep from heart-related causes, but the issue was mostly due to old age.
In 2022, Mrs. Khan, moved to South Korea to teach English at a hagwon, alike to a cram school, and soon a high school. She said, "Teaching in South Korea gave me the ability to live out my high school dream of going there after becoming dangerously addicted to Korean dramas, and also developed my love for learning and teaching."

She was well known at the school for her grade eleven graphic design course.
After assigning her students to make an infographic on social issues in Canada, Mrs. Khan took on the task herself. She created a series of digital artworks showing the current state of Canada's homeless. After entering this in an Ontario government PSA contest, her work was posted in subway stations across the province.
This campaign planted the seed for many similar works in the future. Post-retirement, Mrs. Khan collaborated with the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness (CAEH) to lead the movement towards lowering the homeless percentage.
By not only selling her artwork and making commissions for the organization, Mrs. Khan paired up with construction companies and real estate corporations to house these people in this unfortunate situation.
From the start of this partnership, she has majorly contributed to the building of five apartment complexes to secure stable shelter for these individuals. It has been estimated that at least 43% of the homeless population since 2072 has resituated into an established housing
