Please accept my enthusiastic application for the Creative Arts Therapist position at NYU Langone Hospital. I recently completed my Master’s thesis on the validity of art therapy in medicine and feel I could contribute to NYU Langone Hospital’s excellent reputation.
A health care setting is a familiar environment for me, and I am aware of the challenges of the medical population confronts. Through my training at NYC HHC Woodhull Medical Center, I gained valuable skills that are applicable to working with children and adult patients at NYU Langone Hospital. I have worked with a wide range of patients in both age and medical diagnosis, for example, patients diagnosed with advanced dementia, traumatic brain injury, and Parkinson’s disease.
