NYC Smoke Free success is measured by how engage the community members during the program. Educating communities measures the success because NYC Smoke Free is encourage communities to be aware of tobacco use by having people voluntary quit smoking. Success is measured by helping pass tobacco related legislation. In Public Health Solutions, success is measure by the goals implemented by the department are met. Some of the fiscal goals include budgets, renewal of contracts by the state. If the department does well, then a contract is renewed. If the department does not do well, then the contract will not be renewed (G. Becerra, personal communication, November 21, 2016).

Their core functions are tobacco disparities, housing inequality, tobacco proliferation, tobacco marketing and youth tobacco access. Public Health Solutions receives donations through donors and the city. NYC Smoke Free had received their funding from the New York State Bureau of Tobacco Control and Public Health Solutions. Julia Cuthbertson and Edric Robinson works in NYC Smoke Free and have different experiences within the program. Cuthbertson and Robinson both enjoy that the line of work done helps impact people through interaction community based. The conferences both had attended had no relation to jobs but had relation to their own personal interest. Public Health Solutions and NYC Smoke Free have similar company values which is encouraging diversity because it develops a connection between the program with the different communities that they serve. Risk taking isn’t encouraged due to the strict standards and funds that are available to the program. Grecia Becerra works in Public Health Solutions as a fiscal manager. The organization has seen her improvement by providing her with higher opportunities.
