NR Law Class Analysis

NR Law Class Opinion I would have to say that I was quite skeptical when first signing up for this class last fall. I was under the assumption that we would be covering game and fish law throughout the course, but that was not case. Instead we got the valuable opportunity to meet many of the conservation officers who work locally. I know credit limits are getting pushed further and further at these two year technical colleges, but I feel there should be a class solely for the learning of the various game and fish laws. The academy does address such laws, but I do feel we would be better prepared going in, if there was such a class. Overall, I have thoroughly enjoyed class discussion and the various presentations put forth by the many conservation officers that have come in to speak. They were able to better inform me on the process of becoming a conservation officer and what is expected of you from not only the hiring office, but the public as well. …show more content…
I have a strong interest in natural resources aviation and was looking at possibly going to Crookston. This class gave me the opportunity to not only meet many of our local conservation officers, but with that they brought their wealth of knowledge that they have obtained through years of experience within the profession. I know you had mentioned that a DNR pilot by the name of Jason Jensen will be coming in to speak sometime before the end of the semester and that will be a perfect time for me to ask many of the questions that I have. This class has opened me up to the professional realm of natural resources law enforcement and taught me many of the requirements that I need to meet to become one in the near

I can definitely say that this course so far is helping me increase my knowledge about ethics especially understanding the standards of behavior of what is morally right or wrong in various situations in order to solve a problem or make a specific decision. There are four different ethical lenses: Right/Responsibilities lens: is when the person does the right thing and fulfill their ethical responsibilities with careful care and concern for the other individual. This person is to be highly aware and self-managing as decisions are made. Relationship lens: this lens benefits the entire community or group by making sure all are treated with respect, fairness, and dignity. Results lens: this lens focuses on results and goals where the benefit of the individual action outweighs the cost.…

This course was extremely intriguing and had me hooked from the first discussion forum. It required me to venture out of my comfort zone and ask questions that others viewed as odd, but I knew was going to assist me in my studies. I can recall one specific instance where I was on twenty-four-hour duty and I began asking a police officer doing his security checks questions. It had to be two in the morning and you can tell by the exhausted look on his face when he walked through the bitter cold into our dimly lit building entrance. He spoke with very little energy as he said good morning, but once I began asking him the list of questions that I just so happened to have typed on my laptop screen he immediately perked up and began to speak with life.…

The first challenge is going to be passing the Section 2 of the Sherman Act, which is designed to attack monopolies, due to the fact that if they combine, they will have power to fix prices or exclude competitors from a pharmaceutical market. However, the Section 2 considers the act of monopolizing, thus, their monopoly power, which resulted from combination, is not enough to be guilty because there must be an intent to monopolize the market. For this reason, Pfizer and Allergen should convince the court that they will be acquired a dominant market position through superior products or other demos. Another challenge will be the Section 7 of The Claytn Act, which designed to attack to mergers, but the court considers horizontal merger (between…

They affect most of the organs of your body, and can lead to serious diseases and death. Knowing this important information, I know that I wouldn’t dare take a step into making bad choices!…

The Court's decision makes the important declaration that safety and other concerns must be clearly established before an infringement of freedom of religion is justified. Similarly the Multani decision also provides insight to the proper relationship between administrative decisions and the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms in Canada. Given the Charter the charter has existed for over two decades, both courts and administrative tribunals have not yet clearly defined the exact boundaries between numerous rights and freedoms contained therein.…

This class has been a very fun and enjoyable experience in learning about the very important Warren Court Era. The Warren Court has led the way for variety of changes in the United States of America through landmark decisions like Brown v. Board of Education and Miranda v. Arizona. A very interesting thing that I learned was that Earl Warren was appointed by Dwight D. Eisenhower with the intent that Warren would be a very conservative judge, but as cases were presented to the Supreme Court the American people soon learned that Warren was a very liberal and revolutionary Supreme Court justice. Warren must have been a very convincing justice to have many case decisions go his way. This course was very good in showing how the atmosphere at the time was many a times in…

The first thing I ever wrote for Noah Gordon’s class was a description of a rather mundane object: the fringe around a white-board. Upon looking back at it, I immediately saw how much my writing has matured and changed over the past year of class. In terms of vocabulary, literary phrasing and structure (flow), and grammar; I am leaps and bonds ahead of how I wrote in the earlier part of the year. This being said, I think I have managed to keep my personal flavors in the writing. Here’s an excerpt from the first piece of writing I did, that I believe proves this point pretty well: “Let’s start with a color.…

When I first attended class, I thought that English 2 would be just like any regular English class. Everyone was quiet and appeared to be shy, however, I was surprised to see that the instructor was somewhat young. As the first day of class went on, I was also surprised to know that we would have class outside due to the instructor not bringing a key. I instantly thought the instructor was a bit odd but otherwise a cool guy. However, when I found out the subject of the semester would be about the California water crisis, I immediately became uninterested.…
