NJCDC’s Strategic Fund Raising Initiatives
It is extremely important that the fund raising initiatives and strategies be consistent with the overall strategic plan of the organization. Therefore, the first task is to align the fund raising with the Strategic Plan. For this reason, I reviewed and reiterated that section of the strategic plan, as outlined below, which outlines the Board’s expectations and vision of fund raising for NJCDC.

• Growing and further developing NJCDC’s Board of Trustees.
• Developing board member engagement expectations and other resource development responsibilities and roles.
A well-designed strategic plan has value only if it is implemented with strong intent and reinforced by close monitoring and regularly measuring progress. NJCDC’s Board of Trustees and staff are committed to the implementation of this plan and believe it provides an important framework for the organization’s future growth and lasting impact.  Where participants can bid on exciting and exclusive items such as memorabilia and vacations. o Silent Auction
 Attendees can place their bid for specific displayed items. o Raffle
 50/50 raffle. o Fund a program
 At the event hold a live auction where participants can make a monetary pledge to support specific programs.
• Goal is to raise an additional $30,000 to $50,000.
• It appears that this year’s 20th Anniversary Dinner which will be in 22 days should be an outstanding event with an exceptional line up of honorees. This honoree event should be a wonderful beginning to a successful fundraising year. I would be pleased to attend to see first-hand how NJCDC runs their signature event.
New fundraising events
• Develop a “Walk” to support NJCDC. o Encourage committed volunteers raise funds from their friends, family, and colleagues. o Have those who NJCDC serves to have the opportunity to give back.
• Develop interesting and exciting new events. o Cocktail party at exclusive location and have an honoree. o Fun event to attract new young donors.
 Boat ride
• New revenue – Goal is to raise more than $75,000.
