Scholarship, service, leadership, and character; these are the four pillars of NHS that have played quite a large role in my life in the past year. Even early in my life, these pillars have held a prominent role; I have always kept my grades to high standards, I have always volunteered my time, I have always done all that I can to lead and govern others, and I have always been doing the right thing, even when no one is looking. These pillars were a part of my identity before I was really aware of what they were or before I even knew NHS existed. When I became a part of the organization, officers and advisors kept mentioning the four pillars are how they are the back bone and how they should be a part of our lives.
