Having a unique desire to lead and help people achieve their goals is something I think I have and would be able to use in the NHS Vice President duties. I see the Vice President role as a learning experience that would help me improve on the skills I need to successfully help the group achieve their goals. I think I would be a good candidate for the position because I’m willing to work hard and help out as much as possible in any and all areas needed. I also have great leadership and problem solving skills I believe would contribute to the organization and to the group of chairpeople of NHS. Being the Vice President would help me grow as a person and as a leader, and I hope to be able to be a part of a body of people who share the same goals…

I have seen their growth in character, through the beneficial and uplifting community of NHS. I have seen the service projects they have done, like weekly volunteering, food drives, and even service trips to other countries. Both my brother and sister have shown the utmost integrity and strength of character, and have had stellar academic performance that goes above and beyond my expectations. I want to join NHS because I hope to accomplish the same success in character, service, integrity, and academia through the positive change of National Honor society.…

The National Honors Society is a wonderful opportunity for me, both as a student and a person. I strongly believe that the true purpose of the National Honors Society is to identify and recognize students who have shown great ability in scholarship, leadership, character, and service. As an NHS member, I will not only continue in building my strengths in being a leader as well as showing great character, but excel in every other aspect shown in great students. I have played the role of a leader as quarterback for my football team from seventh grade to sophomore year.…

National Honor Society (NHS) is built upon four key values (scholarship, character, leadership, and service), and I think that I exemplify all four of these values, as I show them through my contribution to the club now and as I will show them through my future officer position of secretary; due to the fact that I exhibit these qualities, I will also be able to leave NHS better than I found when I leave the club in the future. NHS has offered lots of service opportunities since I have joined the club, and it offers a challenging experience for the top students in the sophomore through senior classes; fifty hours must be completed by the end of the year for returning members, and fifty hours must be completed by the next school year for new members. The club ultimately instilled in me important and very useful life qualities. The service activities that must be completed improve my work ethic and ability to work in groups with others, and they also help me get involved more with my community. As a future officer, I would be a great example for members because I have all the qualities needed to be a great NHS leader, allowing me to contribute to NHS as much as I can and to also mold future members to be like myself.…

NHS does such an amazing job at helping the community, and that is all I have ever wanted to do - help others. Generally speaking, I am more of a behind-the-scenes person. However, taking charge, when necessary, is something I enjoy doing.…

Being apart of the National Honor Society would be a great honor for me. Entering high school as a clueless freshman, I had no idea what to expect. The only thing I knew is that being inducted into NHS was a great honor that I would eventually want to achieve. Through these first two years of highschool I have developed many great qualities including the four needed to be chosen; scholarship, leadership, service, and character. In high school I always wanted to play sports and stand out as an athlete in front of the crowd but I soon realized my freshman year that having many academic accomplishments were a great thing to achieve.…

The National Honors Society defines what it means to serve the student body as well as the community. As a student athlete in the Sutton school system leadership, service, character and scholarship have impacted my very way of life. Having a persistent attitude is what makes a student shine and as a prospective candidate for NHS I will incorporate this quality into each of the four pillars improving the society as a whole. Three years ago I began the NHS application process though I had little experience in volunteering for the community and lacked the opportunity to develop myself as a leader this changed as my high school career went on. Through athletics and long hours of volunteering with the town's technology department has provided me with numerous opportunities as high school went on.…
