As hard as it is to see, Special Agent Kensi Blye is partially paralyzed and lashing out at her partner, LAPD Detective Marty Deeks. Struggling with the reality of her slow recovery, she starts to worry she might never walk again. Looking to ease her pain, Deeks is by her side, even when she pushed him away. As Deeks looks to be by her side, there is still his job to fulfill along with all the emotions of keeping her focused on progress.
