Admission to all Columbia University undergraduate colleges and schools is based on academic achievement along with all Ivy League member institutions. Financial aid is awarded on the basis of financial need (NCAA/Columbia University, 2015). The Women's athletics program operates under an NCAA consortium agreement. The Columbia-Barnard Athletic Consortium allows female students from Barnard College, which is located on the grounds of Columbia University and all Columbia University undergraduate colleges and schools to be eligible for intercollegiate competition representing as Columbia University. The Director at Columbia has to work with two academic institutions and then involve those athletes into one school or banner. Columbia University sponsors thirty-one (31) intercollegiate sports which is seventeen (17) NCAA sanctioned sports more than Seton Hall University has (NCAA/Columbia University,
