NCAA Compliance Officer/Director

The role of an NCAA Compliance officer or director is to ensure that their athletic department and student-athletes are in compliance with NCAA legislation. The officer or director is to ensure that the academic institution that he or she represents is applying NCAA legislation in the areas of financial aid, eligibility, recruiting, and athletics personnel and playing and practice seasons (NCAA, 2015). The position of a compliance officer or director is paramount for any school involved in NCAA athletics and is one that has to ensure the academic integrity of the school, its teams, athletes and the integrity of sportsmanship of the NCAA. This is a position that requires an individual to enforce all of the rules or have a staff that will allow them to enforce the rules of the NCAA and ensure that their academic institution adheres to the rules of the NCAA and protects the schools very own academic integrity.
