NASA plans to send a probe in 2017 to catch an asteroid. Not a lot of people have enough time to sit and wait around for them to build it and then launch it then also have to wait for it to get there! The reason why it would take soo long is that for an example about 1 hour in space is not 1 hour on earth, it is possible to be in between 1 and 4 or so years! So all the people who were the ones who started it would have left the place or retired/quit the job, died , or who knows what and there would be new people who might not be as good as the first few. Though some of this may be true, the time in space and earth difference may be wrong because it is also a theory, yet there is a little bit of a difference with …show more content…
That would be 17.7 Billion a year, not one payment though, they would get that much every single year for who knows how long. That could be used for so many better things like medicine or resources or who knows what. And this is something not needed. It is a waste of money because it could be used for better uses. 1 billion would be more than enough. And the probe mentioned earlier would cost 1 billion for it. I mean that is a lot and it could be used for other stuff, but from the other side of the argument, if they did get that, what could we do with it and invent and maybe we could have learned more about space. But it is not needed though they requested it.and what if that money got used for pointless stuff and the things the money was used for were a complete waste, that would be a waste of money. So as a result , it is a waste of money and is not
