Space exploration enhances national security and protects us from danger. In other words, imagine cops trying to catch dangerous criminals without satellites being able to track and videotape every movement of the suspect. Nowadays, NASA has researched and developed a satellite that has video technology in order to catch criminals. Finally, according to notbored.org, “NASA helps cops catch criminals on Earth with video technology invented by space scientists.”

t There has been debates on whether or not NASA’s budget should be increased or cut. Personally, I agree with the people who think their budget should be cut down. Currently, $9.928 billion is spent on Nasa annually and for 2015 they sought $17.5 billion. With that money we could be funding more important causes like world hunger and disease research. Therefore, I believe that NASAs budget should not be expanded due to more important issues that can be resolved with the funding.…

Fifty-six hours into NASA’s third attempt to land on the moon, Houston radioed the spacecraft with a seemingly-innocent request. Following NASA’s instructions, the astronauts turned on the hydrogen and oxygen stirring fans in order to obtain more accurate readings. Two minutes later, an oxygen tank exploded. Electrical power and the altimeter readings began to fluctuate wildly. Communications were briefly lost.…

Space exploration may not be cheap, but NASA does more for people than they know. The work done by NASA has revolutionized some of the ways we do things. Especially the way we look at the stars. Many astronomers and fans of NASA would like for NASA to embark on their goal of putting a man on Mars, which they have previously talked about.…

I have tried to think of the beginning of spaceflight as a metaphor for brothers. The siblings argued over whose idea it was first. Two of the boys, Russia and the United States, decided that they would have a race to see who could get there first. Just like any challenge, the winner would get bragging rights for the rest of their life. After Russia got into orbit around the Earth first and technically won, the US decided that they should go again to see who could get farther, because getting into orbit was just an elementary achievement.…

Everyone remembers or has seen the historical video of the first time Americans landed on the moon. When we first hear Neil Armstrong’s famous words, “One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” People remember this day as when we made world history. But today, we do not hear about the space program anymore. The world that was once connected by the same dream has disappeared.…

NASA has recently found 7 new earth sized planets on February 22, 2017. They were orbiting what looks like a star similar to the Sun only 40 light-years away from the solar system. NASA believes that the planets could sustain liquids, the only downside is the amount of time it would take to travel to the Trappist-1. It would take 700,000 years just to travel to the Trappist-1. NASA believes that the 7 planets could sustain liquids just based off of the densities of the planets.…

Homo sapiens dominate the Earth with our smarts and opposable thumbs, but we simply do not have enough room and resources for over 7 billion people, especially for those who do not contribute to the success of our race. The illiterate and poor civilians, of not only our country, but the world, are stealing the time and money from the educated that hinders their success in the world. To save the world from imminent failure, drastic measures must be made to eliminate the problem of ignorance. I propose that the government increases funding for NASA to create a space shuttle that can hold as many individuals as possible and that will have the ability to travel at least 225 million kilometers to our neighboring planet, Mars. Space Exploration Humans always had a nature of curiosity. That’s what drove Ferdinand Magellan and Juan Sebastián Elcano to circumnavigate the globe. They discovered new lands and crossed new oceans. If they weren’t allowed to go on the voyage, then our history would be too recent. Humans would still be exploring and naming lands in later centuries, if such an event were to happen.…

Have you ever thought about life beyond earth? Scientist from NASA have been researching and building many prototypes of rovers to test possible places that maybe one day we might colonize on it! One of these places that NASA has been researching is the moon Titan, NASA picked this moon to research(although they are researching more planets similar to earth) because, it has many signs that it could sustain life one day! Some theories about NASA and the thought and evidence of life beyond earth surprisingly don’t have a lot to do with aliens(unless you specifically research that). In one’s opinion, one might say that there should and possibly is life beyond earth- we just don’t have the technology yet-to go so far into space to discover it.…

Space exploration is the ongoing investigation of the environment beyond Earth's atmosphere. Mars is the fourth planet from the sun in our solar system that could possibly contain life. It contains many unknown things to discover and could overall greatly advance humanity. It is greatly debatable whether the United States should expand our space exploration to Mars for many reasons. The United States should not lead a mission to send humans to Mars since it would be too costly, take an exessive amount of time to carry out, and it would be overall too dangerous.…

Security and humanity point of view. Those aspects are validating. Maybe some people will hold the opinion that the cost of “ Space Exploration” is far larger than any other cost in the United States. However, according to the data offered by New York Times, even though it seems that the cost of Space Exploration is large, the average cost of those spacecraft is not so large. Take the “Curiosity” as a example, although the total cost of “Curiosity” is 25 million dollars, when divided the total cost by the total population of America, the average cost of “Curiosity” is just 0.41 dollar each which is far less than any other tax put on the America citizens.…
