NASA Budget

Sea levels are rising, cities are flooding, and the world’s greatest powers are not working hard enough or efficiently enough to fix the problem. Due to the devastating effects of Climate change NASA has had to spend massive amounts of time and money trying to fully understand and combat Climate change, yet Congress and their budgetary refinement system has been infringing on NASA’s best attempts to put their best foot forward. NASA employees are highly qualified to fight the ever growing destructive resultants of Climate change around the world. NASA should be allotted more money to fight and research climate change in the best way that they know how. NASA’s annual budget is changed, cut, and redirected by Congress before funds are dispersed, yet Congress is not made up of well educated and experienced scientists. Congress should not be allowed to shift the requested budget from categories that NASA requests to categories of their own interest, overfunding other areas and skipping over climate change. Due to their extensive knowledge and responsibilities, NASA is the most suitable group to determine how the fight against climate change should be budgeted.
