NAEYC Standards

The NAEYC standards are met by establishing early childhood programs whereby the educators are highly trained to enable them to detect any sign that may affect a child’s development. The programs help in learning and future developments of children. Also by evaluating early development and the health of the children it allows for early intervention and an opportunity for early diagnosis of specific children problems. This can be established right from pregnancy so as to know the history of a child’s health. Also by focusing on the family health and wellness, immunization status as well as nutritional health history. Furthermore working with family members to gather information about the health and any safety measures used by the family gives an insight on any potential health risk. Also, follow-ups should be done to keep the records of the children’s health (Sorte, Daeschel & Amador 2014).
Allowing children to grow and learn in a safe and healthy environment is another way of making sure that they develop well in health, safety and nourishment. Therefore both the teachers and parents should ensure that they work together to enhance the continuity of care and wellbeing of the kids. Also, the classrooms should be safe and have a positive atmosphere. In addition, they should also be nurturing, motivating, encouraging and improve the child’s health and wellness. The teacher should ensure a strong relationship with the students and their family.
