NAEYC Standards

Decent Essays
NAEYC standards five promotes using content knowledge to build meaningful curriculum. Teachers have to give punishments in order to make sure that each child is developing the right behavior. I think that this might be the hardest NAEYC standards to follow for teachers because it has to be done the right way. If the teacher applies too much positive reinforcement, then the child will never follow the rules. It is also bad if all the teacher does is punish the children. Teachers have to create a fun and pleasant classroom. I think that the teachers I observed have created a clever way of handling this. The fact that they are using jobs as a positive reinforcement is amazing. They reward the children who have been behaving by giving them jobs.
