The majority of society tend to belittle mental illnesses in general and depression in specific. Many people are under the false impression that depression is sadness, which is why they do not pay attention to their beloved ones showing symptoms of depression, disregarding it as normal feelings. it is not. Depression can be environment related, but it is mostly the chemical imbalance in the brain that causes such imbalanced emotions.
