There is really only one main character in the book and that is Luke but after running from the population police soon gets a fake I.D. which makes his fake name Lee. He does not like trying to be like this Lee guy because he just wants to be himself. The school he now goes to is a very weird school with no windows but there is this group of kids who is always mean to him. In the end the boys end up being third children who were testing him but one of them had a very big secret and makes most of them regret being honest to him about their identity. There is also a population police who is sort of an important character and he is the one helping Luke out with the fake I.D. and more. The theme is shown through the whole book and doesn't really ever get out of the genre of mystery which is very good for some of you readers out there. The author is also known for many other books that she has written with different series. She likes to make books that are like this a society that has something different in it like for example time travel or no third children. She is very creative and shows it in almost all of her books it is surprising her head hasn't exploded from all of her thinking. So the theme is very good in the book and the author has a very creative mind and shows it in this book. I really liked this book and I would give it an 8 out of 10 because it had a very good story and I like the concept of the book. I think the author is very good and I would love to read more of her books when I can. It is amazing on how many books she has written and how creative and different each one can be. I would recommend this book to almost any person who likes fantasy and it isn't the biggest book ever. SO this book is very good and this book should earn more popularity because the author did a very good
