Introduction
The MYP packet was an extraordinary help to get me started on this assignment. It began with asking the question of what my three main interests were at the time; science, art, and technology. Focusing on the latter, I decided to do this project on something I’ve always been fascinated by, the world of coding. After getting a taste of it the previous year through being in the CyberPatriot program at school, which lets students find weaknesses in computer models and then fix them, I found myself with a hunger to explore that world a bit more. I wished to learn how coding worked and what the history of it was. I wanted to examine the increasing necessity of it as a skill in our lifetime and I aspired to gain more knowledge on its importance and projected impact on the future. Following this decision, I went on to fleshing out my time frame of when I could work on the project. I distributed my free hours during the three months of summer as evenly as I could, so that I wouldn’t feel overwhelmed by the amount of drudgery that goes into any kind of large plan such as this.
