Personality test can tell us a lot about ourselves, how we act and why we make some of the decisions we make. Many personality test exist but one in particular is the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) test. The MBTI “ places you in one of sixteen personality types based on dichotomous categories such as whether you are an introvert or an extrovert, or have a disposition towards being logical or emotional” (Krznaric). Upon taking my MBTI test, I wanted to predict what my results might be. My result was Introvert, Sensing, Feeling and Judging (ISFJ), which was not surprising. In this paper I will reflect on my results and analyze each trait and how it will help me develop my leadership style.

Some people make the mistake of thinking that this trait means you’re judgmental, but that is far from the truth. Judging actually means that you are an organized person and like to plan thing out. I notice this trait in my everyday life, from planning out what I want to do for the day, to planning what I am going to eat for dinner in advance. In my family I am the one that typically organizes the trips, make hotel arrangement and preplan the trip out in advance. I like to plan things out and not wait to the last minute, for instance I planned out this assignment I started it 5 days before it was due and each day I had a set goal of what part of the paper I wanted to work on. Planning keeps me less stressed and help me make all my deadlines whether in school or at work. “ISFJ Personality the Defender” (n.d.) describes ISFJ as the defender. Some of the characteristics that an ISFJ personality type poses is Quiet, friendly, responsible, and conscientious.
