Myers-Briggs Personality Dichotomy

Improved Essays
After taking the Myers-Briggs Personality test, I discovered I possess an ESTJ personality type. This is an acronym that stands for Extroverted, Sensing, Thinking, and Judging. People who have an ESTJ personality type are hardworking traditionalists. We are often ready to take charge in upcoming projects and are eager to get them completed. I, personally, am very meticulous in my work. So while it may take me slightly longer than others, I make sure that my work is the best quality I can produce. In the Myers-Briggs personality test there are a total of 16 personality types. The basic preferences derive from four dichotomies. These are Extraversion or Introversion, Sensing or Intuition, Thinking or Feeling, and Judging or Perceiving. The …show more content…
To do this I used a variety of resources including a thesaurus and a website to find words that employers like to hear. When I was making the slides, I had to be sure to put them in the correct order. If I put my agreement for myself out of order, I am ultimately weakening my pitch to a potential employer. An additional website that became useful to me during this assignment was PortfolioCreative.com. On this website it further explained how to market myself based on the marketing mix. This website listed Product, Price, Promotion, and Place (I substituted this for Distribution) as part of the marketing mix. When branding yourself, all of these factors play an important role.

The product, myself, is forever changing and improving as I am always learning a new skill or

Price yourself too low and you may not make as much as you’re worth or seem under-experienced. Overprice yourself and they may not hire you at all. While trying to stay between these spectrums, websites such as Glassdoor gave an average salary for this position, which helped me decide on how much I was looking for.
Promotion is physically putting myself out there for employers. When I send my resume, cover letter, or any other document to employers, this is part of the promotion mix of my personal brand. Once I decide to promote myself, I had to decide on what to foster of myself. While I have completed many tasks in my life, I only need market the positive. Instead of putting almost everything I’ve done and learned in my life, I decided to only include what related to this job.
To be able to distribute myself, people must be able to reach and contact me. So, for this I decided to include my Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat usernames along with my university email. Other than by phone call or text, these are the most efficient ways to contact me. The reason I didn’t include my Facebook is for the fact that I rarely use it and it would be pointless to attempt to contact me through
