Problems Essay Myaccess:
American jazz legend Duke Ellington said, “ A problem is a chance for you to do your best.” I like this quote because I think you should always try your best on everything. If you do not try your best on everything, then you will not succeed as much as you would have learned, if you just took a few more minutes and actually tried your best. Therefore, you should always try your best on everything you do.
If I had to relate to this quote, I would probably say my sixth year of school. Sixth grade was probably the toughest year out of all of my eight years of schooling. All through elementary school, it was really easy for me, but when I got into sixth grade, it was death to me, I just did not understand anything they were saying. So I just tried my hardest on everything trying to be a great student, but I failed everything, and I thought I was the worst person

The hardest thing I experienced in sixth grade was when my teacher came up to me at my locker going to lunch she said,” Rose you are doing very poorly in my class, you need to try harder on everything, because if you do not get all one hundred in my class for three more months straight, then you will fail my class. Also if you do not pass this project and then I do not know what I am going to do with you, you are doing horribly in my class why don't you just give up, you are already doing terrible in my class, you are doing so bad that I can not get you into summer school.” That is how bad she thought

Character Literary Essay (´´The Marble Champ´´) Stop doubting yourself, work hard and make it happen. I think this quote shows something of Lupe´s philosophy. In the story ´´The Marble Champ,´´ by Gary Soto, Lupe, the protagonist, is a shy girl and is not good at sports but is a straight -A- student. The story shows that she is a very hard worker because she sacrifices her own time to practice, tries her best, and she is determined to be good at sports.…

The inspiring memoir, Discovering Wes Moore, written by Wes Moore teaches the reader many life lessons, which are included in the themes of the memoir. This first example of Wes Moore’s life teachings is “But hard work and putting in the effort to be good at something matters” (Moore 142). This quote from Wes Moore is important to me because when I work hard and put in my best effort I succeed immensely. When I read this fragment of Discovering Wes Moore, I am reminded that everything that I do, whether it is academic studies, dance, soccer, or piano, it should be done with my best exertion. If you are diligent with your work and doing your best you will succeed and achieve greatness throughout life.…

Throughout my life I have always tried to be the best person I could possibly become. From having perfect grades to being any sports team MVP. I have grown up with the phrase, “The harder you work, the better you do,” engraved into my head. My dad told me this after school, after sports, and after I finish anything i did. I work hard for my grades and that has ended me here.…

Failing was never an option for me because back in my country, I was a straight A student, so the first semester made me cry a lot, my tears taste like a sour patch. At the end of the year I ended up passing to 8th grade and was very happy I didn’t have to repeat the same grade. As the days passed and a new school year started, I felt a little better. The first time I walked into the classroom, I sat in the corner and started crying because looking at the kids made me remember my friends in Ethiopia. Seeing them act out reminded of me and my friends getting in trouble and getting hit with a hose by our teachers, I know this is surprising to most people, but I really missed being in trouble.…

I almost had a heart attack when I received my math test with a big fat red F on top of it. It was the third F I've gotten alone in just math class. I was good in the other subjects such as, physical education, science, and reading. The only thing that I had trouble with was math, I hated math and I didn't understand a single thing that was happening when she taught a certain subject. I was going to have to do summer school if I didn’t get my grade up, and I already had my vacation planned out.…

American Jazz legend Duke Ellington once said, “A problem is a chance for you to do your best”. What he means by this is that if you have a situation that is difficult for you, you should try your hardest to solve it. I agree with this quote because I believe that you should try your hardest anytime, especially when you have a difficult situation because that is when it counts the most. For example, when you know a big test is coming up, and you do not know if you are going to pass it or not you should study for it every night even if you do not like studying, you should do your best in the hardest situation.…

I repetitively used the excuse that I was competing against the smartest students in the city, and that not doing well was to be expected. These low expectations caused my grades to plummet, and with my grades, my self-confidence fell too. By the time I was a sophomore, I was on the verge of failing all of my classes. I fell into a state where I believed that I couldn’t do anything with my life and there was nothing that I could do to change it. This toxic mindset bled into the other aspects of my life, inside and outside of school.…

Year 7 was hard, moving from a small primary school with just over 100 students to a secondary with close to 17 000 was a massive step. It was probably made even harder by the fact that that summer I had just gotten my hearing aids and was not used to being able to hear my own footsteps for the wind. I was bullied but now I question the intelligence of them as they would sometimes whisper behind my back and if I took my aids out, hay presto I could not hear them anymore, yay. In lessons, apart from the occasional few, I sat in the front, which was nice as it meant I could hear what they were trying to…

When you’re caught in a self-defeating cycle, it can feel impossible to get out. Quite disturbingly, you begin to believe the suffocation of negativity is “normal.” As Dr. Joe Dispenza has said, “What if just by thinking we make our inner alchemy out of the normal state, the self-regulation system of the body eventually considers this abnormal state to be the normal one?” Put simply, your mind, body, and emotions adapt to your expectations and standards. If you become comfortable in the “abnormal” state of self-defeat and skepticism, your body and brain literally adjust themselves to meet that reality.…
