Reflection On My Zentangle Project

Improved Essays
On my Zentangle project, I would improve a few small mistakes and things. First, I would improve some of the lines in the Zentangles and self portrait, as there are parts which are of different size and value within the same segment. Additionally, I would improve the self portrait because there are parts of the Zentangles that go a little inside the self portrait, ruining the perfection and unity of my work. My goals for the piece if I could do it over again would be to take less time working on it, as it took me a very long time to finish it. I noticed that this could be done by envisioning the artwork, which is something I did not do and costed me a lot of time thinking what to draw between every Zentangle. Another way I could improve this project I by concentrating more to not make small mistakes like having lines that are too long and go inside the self portrait. I believe my lack of concentration is my fault of getting distracted by my phone and stuff going on around the classroom. However, this lack of concentration could be fix with just engaging and persisting to really get the work done in time and focusing on those small details which i …show more content…
There is one project in particular which i am really proud of. It is the entangle project. I am very proud of my zentangle project for a couple of reasons. The most important reason is that i put a lot of work and effort into it so it ended looking very good and reflects what i can do with hard work. Moreover, i am proud of this project because of the self portrait portion. I had never before attempted to draw myself, and yet i think the self portrait ended up resembling me. Therefore, i feel proud of it because it ended up looking good, and most importantly like me. Furthermore, i am most proud of this project because of how neat it looks because of the attention to some very small figures in some of the

Knowledge Skills Competencies Assignment The first artifact I have chosen to illustrate effective written communication is my completed portfolio that was completed for my fall semester 2015, PRST 3010 class. The PRST 3010 class, had me look at my work history and extra-curricular activities, and then weigh those against certain criteria, to see if they were worthy of college level learning and credit. Fortunately, my completed portfolio was worth twenty four college credits, so it was definitely a worthwhile endeavor. I would consider this artifact an example of my best work for many reasons.…

My most impressive project without a doubt would have to be my eagle scout project. When I was 17, I tasked myself with repainting the interior of an apartment used by a ministry for an afterschool program they had. I was able to effectively manage the younger scouts and delegate responsibility to finish the project in a timely manner. We had to move everything off the walls, lay drop cloths, and tape off the door frames. I was required to keep track of the expenses involved, in addition to the tools, equipment, hours, and any donations.…

Pre-Experience Journal Entry I was born to be an engineer. I grew up playing math games, building lego sets, and taking apart electronics. My Senior Capstone Experience (SCE) will definitely be in the area of engineering. More specifically, I would love to do either computer science or electrical engineering, as these are the areas I want to major in when I go to college. I came to GSMST because I have always had an interest in engineering, and GSMST has only made that interest stronger.…

My first project was about Al Capone and he was a super fun person to learn about. I wrote an essay and made a blueprint of the Alcatraz cell house. A cool fact I learned was that Al Capone was responsible for putting expiration dates on milk bottles. Figuring out the project process was a bit hard at first, but as time continued to move it got a lot easier. When you figure it out it gets a lot easier.…

The Boy Scouts of America is one of the largest youth organizations in the nation, having an astounding 2.4 million youth involved in its programs. Since 2007 I have been lucky to consider myself one of those members. Starting in third grade, I joined as a Bear Cub, in the Cub Scout program, and have made my way from there up to the highest rank in Boy Scouts, Eagle. When I started my journey I was a fairly quiet kid, reserved and not very good at controlling a group.…

Reflecting on the past long, but yet short four years of high school, I cannot help but be exhilarated for the next four to come. I can remember the first day that I walked into the JROTC room like it was just yesterday, butterflies floating in my stomach, my nerves everywhere with a smile on my face because I knew that is where I belong. As time went I took advantage of the program by joining the Armed Drill team as another cadet. Within one year of hard work and innumerable amount of practice I became a squad leader following up to be the first female commander of the Armed Drill team that Sam Houston High has seen. With the proficiency that JROTC has taught me, I decided that it was time to seek out my dream by talking to a recruiter.…

Journal #7: Reframing When I came across the topic of reframing in this week’s readings, I immediately thought of myself, and the way I tend to handle difficult and/or stressful situations. Unfortunately, when something doesn’t go my way, I tend to become irritated and ask myself why I have such bad luck. Recently, however, I have noticed myself reframing issues, even when I had never heard of this as a topic before reading chapter 10. For instance, in the beginning of the school year at USC, I was denied a waiver for the USC health insurance plan, which ended up costing me $600. I was initially pretty angry that I would have to pay this amount, because I did have insurance, just not insurance that qualified to allow me to obtain a waiver.…

Theory of Change Management Peter Senge promotes the idea of a Learning Organization as a theory of change management in his book ‘The Fifth Discipline’. Senge (2006) encourages the “rethinking of corporate philosophy” and a commitment to individual learning to establish a learning organization. Individual learning, according to Senge (2006), does not guarantee a learning organization, but without it, learning organization is impossible. Individual learning, therefore, is key to the establishment of a learning organization. Encouragement for individual learning requires “tapping the potential of people” according to Senge (2006).…
