My Writing Strength

Improved Essays
Thinking back on all the writing and research I have done this trimester, I believe I have grown in my writing. My writing is more organized and I am choosing my words more wisely. I also noticed that I am able to write get my thought on paper faster and coherently. I think my biggest strength would be my speed. While this may not seem like the best strength, I am happy with it. I have classmates and friends who take longer to write an essay which brings more stress to their life. But, while I like the speed of my writing, I really need to improve in typing the correct words. I often think faster than I can write. This causes me to misspell words which become autocorrected into some random word. Though I can not only blame autocorrect because

Reflection Over that three assignments above and the other assignments we have done over this quarter I have noticed a way of think and formating I do when starting a assignment. When starting an assignment I don't start or finish things in order I'll do the main requirements for what goes where and create how ever many pages it needs then I’ll Start the assignment in the middle where I'm doing the main most important part first. For example this project I started with the hard moments essay instead of a title screen just to get it out of the way. I've noticed I don't talk much in class, even though I used to always get in trouble in language arts and reading for talking because I hated those classes, but not speaking much in class doesn't mean I don't contribute to class. I think I contribute a good amount I volunteer for questions (Sometimes).…

Imagine being able to write in beautiful connected loops, and be able to write faster. You would be able to have dotted, and beautiful descriptions which would let you have longer sentences. People would like you to write since you had such beautiful hand writing. Also, you would be able to spell better, while writing in cursive. First, cursive writing helps you show your identity, by signing your name.…

This semester has passed by in what feels like no time at all. I barely even blinked, and the year is already half over. In literature class, this feels especially true, as we have moved from The Things They Carried to Jane Eyre, and now to The Awakening. During this time frame, we have written multiple pieces, the majority of which consisted of FRQs. I believe that my greatest piece of writing this semester was the FRQ based off of a section of Ann Petry’s…

I have always thought of myself as a strong writer. My highest grades have always been in writing classes and it is for that reason that I am pursuing law (one of the most writing intensive professions imaginable). This semester my goals were not to improve the mechanics of my writing, I wanted to improve the theoretical aspect. with proof reading software, a monkey can write a sentence, I want to be able to write an argument. And I do believe that I have improved.…

When asked to write about and describe myself I often have to stop and ask myself how would someone who knows me, describe me to someone who doesn’t know me at all. I feel unique would probably be the most fitting adjective for describing Robert Yamane. I enjoy being challenged and never walk away from a problem that I know I can solve. Puzzles are great examples, but more importantly I want to be challenged in the classroom. Which is a huge reason why I want to attend Punahou.…

My greatest strength as it pertains to becoming a PA student and a graduate PA is my ability to pick up on information or medical procedures pretty quickly. Once I observe a Physician or a Physician Assistant performing a certain task or physical exam I can quickly learn how to perform it myself. I attribute this trait to my explicit attention to the small intricate details as it pertains to medicine. On the other hand, due to my natural emotional nature, my greatest weakness would be being too emotional with my patients especially if they have a terminal disease. I say this is my weakness because it can make me depressed and sad and that sometimes can affect other interactions I might have with my other patients.…

My greatest strength is Standard 3A, “Recruits, selects, mentors, and retain faculty and staff to accomplish school system goals” (Alabama State Department of Education [ALSDE] 2013, p. 8). For 15 years of my educational career as a workforce coordinator, recruiting workers was my passion. I successfully met the needs of employers and assisted students in obtaining valuable employability skills. Some of my students retained their positions throughout their collegiate endeavors. Many needed employment to help their families.…

The Language of Portraiture: Feelings Words and Identity I 've never really given much thought to the way I write or my writing style. I know I 've written a lot in my life so far, but this is the first time I 've ever been asked to figure out "Who Am I When I Write?"; and honestly this question baffles me to no end. I found out from my first paper in this class alone that I am not a very good writer. I was very shocked to find this out because I used to be a very well rounded writer when I was a just a few years younger. I guess I have times to blame for that, not going to school for five plus years and texting being the only form of writing that I ever do these days; it 's no surprise…

Since the beginning of the school year, I feel my overall writing has improved because of my new abilities to construct an arguable and detailed thesis and back it with strong, relevant information, evaluate and integrate sources that I find, and make sure that my writing is void of any grammatical and punctuation errors. I can remember back to the beginning of the year when I was just starting out; my writing skills were ok. As the semester progressed, I noticed the quality of my writing was improving, as each of my new skills was developing. At the beginning of the year, my papers did not even contain a thesis; I just kind of wrote the paper how I felt was right. In addition, I was not very good at finding sources or even incorporating them into my writing; it just was not something I was hugely concerned about.…

When considering my own writing, I would say I am very capable of coming up with original ideas. My thoughts are creative, but I struggle to get all of my arguments into the essay. In my mind, I understand my thought and the reasons behind it. When I have to support claims in a written form I have a habit of sometimes leaving out a piece. I also have noticed repetitiveness and slight disorganization in the way that similar thoughts are sometimes split up throughout the essay.…
