My Writing Profession Paper

I expected to see tasks that involve perfecting my craft and staying knowledgeable on current events. Creative people have to constantly work for their craft even after they obtain a job, and having knowledge of current events can make the content more relatable. The tasks were not included.

None of the tasks surprised me. All of the tasks were related to the writing profession. Every task relates to procedure, craft, and research, which are critical for writers.

The most interesting tasks were writing content for publications, attending book launches, and publicity events. I enjoy reading publications and I would want have my content published. I also would enjoy attending publicity events. Seeing new material being promoted is very cool.

Writing and reading comprehension are the most essential skills in my occupation. Without these skills, I cannot work. The social perceptiveness is important because I have to realize how content can cause speculation.

Monitoring and complex problem solving are the skills that surprised me the most. I never thought about these areas, so I will have to focus more on these areas in my future career.

A person in this field will have to obtain a four-year degree and work several years to be considered a professional. He or she would have to find a job during college or after college to gain work experience.

The median annual salary is $58,850. The projected job openings is 26,100.

The work context is freedom to make decisions, spend time making repetitive motions, contact with others, indoors. I have to have to adjust to staying in the same environment for a long time and repeating the same activities. I was not surprised by the work context because I worked in a film office where the work environment was the same
