My Writing Impact

Reading and writing have impacted my life in numerous ways; in fact, reading books has impacted my life by expanding my vocabulary. My mother would read difficult books to expose me to broad new words to me at a young age. She would also have me study dictionaries, and continuously give me spelling test. When I got a little older I would start to read books on my own. I would read books that opened up my imagination; such as the series, The Magic Tree House. Eventually, I ended up being too engage into books, and my mother and teachers got extremely worried about me. They wanted me to start working on my writing skills; sadly, at the time, I did not have fine writing skills. Although I did not have fine writing skills, and moving schools to …show more content…
They also wanted my mom to be involved more, so what my mom did was write on a white board and copy words from books and write them. Eventually, I could write sentences all on my own; therefore, it was time to write paragraphs. Once I told my teacher I could write a paragraph, she was thrilled; for instance, she would have me write 3 paragraphs a week. I wrote so many paragraphs my fifth-grade year, by the time I was in seventh grade, I could write a phenomenal essay. With that said, also reading adventurous books impacted my life by expanding my imagination and becoming a solid reader. The help of my teachers working with me on building my basic writing skills, and being so concerned, impacted my life and helping my writing skills become superb. Also, my mother continuously having me write sentences to build a fluent paragraph impacted my life due to writing an essay well. I really appreciate what reading and writing did for me: helping me stay positive, expanding my vocabulary, and opening my imagination.
