Right there, that’s where my journey of becoming a better writer and reader began, prep school. Going into prep school was one of the hardest things I have done in my life. The one thing that feared me the most was being in a class with less than 10 kids. That meant I couldn’t hide in the back any more and I had to be more engaged, which I really wanted too involved with. I have always been the shy kid that sits in the back and never talks. But prep gave me a challenge and I showed it a fight. My English class was actually my favorite class because of my teachers. She had the best plans to teach class and I learned a ton. The one thing I learned the most was writing and reading. She made us write for 40 minutes a week in class about any topic that came to us. The only rule she gave us was don’t stop writing, and just write away, don’t worry about grammar. In the beginning these writing assignments were hard because I always had trouble getting started. But after awhile, this writing assignment just clicked for me and I enjoyed it quite a bit. I didn’t have to worry about grammar, which always bothers me because that’s one of the things that are always in my head. Even though my hand always hurt after 10 minutes, the next few weeks went by and my hand didn’t hurt after 10 minutes. I noticed a difference where my hand had more endurance and that helped a lot because after certain amount of time your hands hurts and you stop but you forget the word or your idea in your head but you can’t remember. So this assignment helped me a lot and helped me get every idea I had in my head on paper before it disappeared. The last thing that helped me a lot was my favorite assignment and that was writing about a part of campus. My prep school was in a very
