Loosening the language barrier between two cultures allows for a deeper connection between them, therefore the value of learning to write and speak a different language is something that should be valued. Depending how people write, it shows how much they know. If most high school high students don’t know how to write in a critical manner, it shows that the U.S. school systems don’t force comprehensive writing techniques. On the other hand, if there are another group students who are taught proper techniques the other students become subordinate to them. Among families it can also be evident how much adolescents know or give credit for writing. With this in mind ,if the child doesn’t have essential writing skills their parents probably doesn’t ‘t care much about education. Years ago technology wasn’t as advanced as it is today, as a result letters and emails couldn’t be sent immediately. This has changed drastically; texting has created a larger connection with a greater amount of people. People in my generation wonder if their friends have died if they don’t reply quick enough, therefore people are constantly checking their phones. If someone does not reply within the usual responding limit, it may seem, they are emotionally disturbed, creating confusion. As a result of quicker communication, behavior changes when a connection is weakened between two individuals. For this reason, in some instances is easier to be in someone’s presence instead of writing them. In agreement with my argument, Janet Emig says that, “writing is an artificial process; and talking is not”(124). For example, when an individual is trying to write someone a letter they can correct the paper they are sending numerous amount of times, when someone is talking they cannot do this.
