My Wrestling Team-Personal Narrative

Have you ever been left behind by your wrestling team just after practice or any other sport, or by your family? Just before you head off to a game, event, or trip? Well I have and I can tell you it’s not pleasant. Especially when it’s the middle of December and there's snow on the ground and you lack a sweater or jacket. This is my story of how I got left behind and what happened to me during those two hours. Although this adventure could have stopped I decided to go no more.
My wrestling team had just finished practice and were about to leave. I realized I had forgotten my glasses in the school we had been practicing in several minutes before. So I walk up to coach and ask, “I forgot my glasses, can I go get them?” Coach replied, “Sure.”

I know where it’s going, onto main street. I know a little shortcut from the roundabout to main street. I start running up that shortcut and when I get about three quarters of the way there the van drives past the exit of the shortcut. I run faster than I had been and get to the exit. A glance to the right revealed to me that the van had stopped at the light. I knew I didn’t have much time so I sprint as fast as I can and when I get about a quarter down the block the light changes to green. The van pulls away and starts gaining speed. I run as fast as I can down the sidewalk and across the street. There’s no more street light from here to the end of the road so the van is going a leisurely pace while I’m running after it. I run after it for a few more blocks and get near a Subway restaurant.
This is where this little adventure could’ve ended but I thought it was a lost cause. When I got to the Subway the bus took a left at the end of the road. When they turned I thought, “ Wow, they actually forgot me.” I could’ve kept following them but I decided not to. They went went to go pick up another vehicle because the van was getting crowded. When I saw them turn I just gave up and went back to the school. On my way back I met a friend who used to go to
