It is painfully obvious that FlexMed has had an impact on my educational plan in college. At first, I had intentions of studying History and Computer Science. Now, I am a declared Spanish major and am declaring a major in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience. The only reason this has been possible is the flexibility afforded by FlexMed. It began when my five best friends from my dorm hall decided that they wanted to live together off-campus sophomore year.…

The five most significant turning points in my life were when I graduated valedictorian of my class, when I received my first scholarship, when I visited The University of Texas at Austin, when I went on my post-graduation vacation to Galveston, Texas, and when I became a part of The McLennan Community Honors College. These turning points while being immensely different from one another still connect to a key theme in my life of what I find to be the most worthwhile, my education, my desire to accomplish anything that I set my mind to, and my love to explore new things. One of the five most significant turning points in my life was when I graduated valedictorian of my class. Although initially I did not really choose the path of becoming…

Regarding the first choice, many of my friends were compelled by tradition to continue with the family businesses while the second choice was chosen by very few people. In this choice, the fate is barely known since one is guided by passion.…
