Through out life it is very important for individuals to gain different view points, that challenge their natural beliefs. I believe that it is healthy to pose questions and gain outside knowledge on particular topics. Religion is a very soft spot for many individuals, thus it should be dealt with care and consideration.

There was little to no singing in a large choir as one may see in a revivalist style church. The mass was held in a traditional built church, and when you entered the altar which had a numerous amount of candles as well as the cross/crucifix was the focal point on the church wall. I learned that this was called Sacramentals, all items that are used within the church. This particular church had many symbols such as crosses, candles, saints that captured the traditional Ancient style. I also noticed there was a sense of unity when prayer began, because everyone was close to their neighbors seated in the pews. In the beginning individuals kneeled then found seats in the pews. During the entire service there was a alternating of standing and sitting. One would stand when scripture was being read. It was a comforting experience to see everyone tuned in and not separated with individual seating. It was different in the aspect of feeling that everyone was together rather than one person on their own, which in a most extreme case can lead to dis engagement. The Doctrine of Humanity was emphasized during the sermon in regards to caring and loving your neighbor. We as human beings are not perfect, but we should try our best to treat everyone with respect and love. In class we discussed humanity 's essentials physical and spiritual elements. Human beings are physical because we are created from the earth and have bodies. We are spiritual because we are created with the breath of God. Since we are human we are not perfect but we can follow the right path that God has intended for us. In doing so we can live a virtuous life. The second doctrine was the focus on the Trinity. During the sermon when Jesus Christ was mentioned there was an emphasis on the Father, son, and Holy Spirit. A sense of unity was depicted, having one person in three natures.
