My Personal Worldviews

“Lives without a chance” Here at Southeastern University and in my First Year Experience courses such as CCU, one of the most essential ideas we have been learning is how to discover and develop our very own Worldview. Everyone has a worldview. According to Merriam-Webster dictionary a worldview is defined as the way someone thinks about the world, and as Keith Drury stated, “A worldview is a particular bias in our presuppositions that influences how you look at the world and what we see or expect to see”. It answers the minor and major questions of life, and we get it from family, friends, and other various influences outside of our own personal lives. Growing up in a sheltered Christian home, I would have to say that my worldview of many different things has mostly remained constant. However, we all do have our own worldviews and our entitled to our own opinions. I know Abortion is wrong, and I can’t change how people think or view the things in this world. However, I do understand how other worldviews our brought up. The consequence that I am living with is the fact that Abortion is an active daily practice in our society. I can scream and protest all I want, but I don’t think that will bring any positive outcomes or solutions to the situation whatsoever. However, what is effective is prayer. It is my duty as a Christian to pray for this world no matter what. I pray that people open their eyes and realize how God truly feels about terminating the lives of his children. Although I may remain in my box and stand with my beliefs until the day I die, I have also made the effort to cut some holes to take a peek into someone else’s box to see how they are feeling and thinking in regards to our
