A hero is someone who goes through a series of events and emerges a changed person. The series of events are formally known as the hero’s journey, created by Joseph Campbell. Wolverine from the movie X-men Origins: Wolverine goes through his own journey and, by the end of it, is a hero.…

Homer’s epic poem the Odyssey and Salak’s travel memoir The Cruelest Journey, share what drives adventurers to complete their journey. In Homer’s epic poem, The Odyssey the protagonist is wandering for years in search of home, since he was blown of coarse. Similarly, in Salak’s memoir, the explorer is tying to set a new record, while learning something new about herself.…

Hi, Craig! It’s safe to say Christopher Vogler changed literature composition’s face forever when he created his “Hero’s Journey” outlining concept. One among its most astonishing assets is how it can get shortening whereby commercial inclusion, if not incorporation in brief YouTube videos, both become possibilities. Questions involving shortened versions of the outline get presented, about brief movies, Internet contents, and games. I have always believed humans have many means by which to communicate each stage associated with humans’ journeys through brief imagery.…

For centuries, stories of brave heroes and heroines who overcome great evils to selflessly protect others have captured the hearts of many. A number of such stories can actually be found to possess parallel structures to each other. The 12 Stages of The Hero’s Journey is a form of structure commonly found in Romance Narratives and was introduced in Joseph Campbell’s Monomyth from his book The Hero with a Thousand Faces. Campbell shows that many journeys, either literal or metaphorical, follow a similar structure. The hero starts in an ordinary, known world but is called to adventure and passes through into an extraordinary, unknown world where he faces challenges, acquires friends and mentors, and ultimately overcomes a central ordeal.…

Heroic journeys can happen in many different ways. Everyone has a journey in their life, not all are the same, as we can see in Moana and The hobbit. As we compare the heroic journeys of Moana and The Hobbit we can see The Hobbit creates a stronger heroic journey through analyzing the departure, initiation, and return. One of the part of a heroic journey is the departure, an example is in Moana how she has to leave her home island because her grandma has told her about the heart of tafiti and how Maui took it and she needs to go to find Maui and bring the heart of tafiti back to save their island, her dad did not want her to go because of he thinks the ocean is a very unsafe place due to his own memories from years ago, by leaving her island…

In Enquire journey it expresses about struggles, disappointment, and all sorts of things we usually don 't like to talk about. In the novel it had many obstacles that most people usually endure on a day to day bases because it’s reality, it’s the truth. It isn 't bad nor good but realizing that it 's part of our society is one step closer to achieving a growth mindset. It has shown me how I could do a lot even when i’m faced with negative things surrounding me and all I have to do is keep striving for the best for a positive outcome.
