On a cold night in January when I was about fourteen years old I was snuggled up on the couch watching TV in my new favorite batman onesie. I had no makeup on, my hair was wild, and I was extremely content. My winter break was almost over and I was trying to enjoy the rest of my time relaxing. However, around 9:00 pm my peace got interrupted. I heard my sister scream in panic, “oh my god, Mom! Quick!” At the time, my two sisters and brother still lived at home so I was used to them running around, loud phone calls, and my oldest sister yelling at someone or something.
