Just as all people, places, and things, I have my strengths and my weaknesses. Strength is essential for a writer, for without it, they cannot spread their message well to the reader. I believe one of my strengths is including strong grammar and format within my work. For example, in my collaborative essay, I do an exceptional job with placing in-text citations throughout my part of the essay to provide support and explanation for my statements. I also believe I organize and flow from support to support, idea to idea, all throughout my work. In my essay, “The Concept of The Superhero: A Model for All”, I transition from phrase to phrase cleanly for the reader to truly get the content. In this essay, explain how important superheroes are to our society and to how we function as a human body. I transition from the topic of human needs and superheroes, to aspirations and superheroes, to hope found throughout superheroes, leaving the reader in a renewed perspective about what a superhero may mean to them. As in all my essays I have written, I leave the reader with a concluding paragraph reiterating the message I want them to hear in the most eloquent way I can. Upon completing the StrengthsFinder survey, it is determined my 5 greatest strengths are the learner, achiever, competition, strategic, and relator, all of which I expected (Clifton, Anderson, & Schreiner, 2006). While reading the text I examined the various themes of different strengths, relating closely to the 5 assigned by the survey, I am impressed by how well the explanations were written in the book, Strengths Quest Second Edition. The text in correlation with the materials provided from the StrengthsFinder survey brought forth meaning and depth into finding out exactly the type of person I am. Learning is listed as my top strength in the survey (Clifton, Anderson, & Schreiner, 2006). I believe I have used that trait extensively throughout…

I have always considered my relationship with writing to be very insignificant. Although I enjoy spending time verbally expressing my thoughts and feelings to others, it becomes difficult when these thoughts and feelings are expressed through writing. Being unable to effectively organize my thoughts and ideas into words and sentences, I would feel reluctant to continue writing confidently whenever I received an undesirable grade.…
