My Volunteering Process Analysis

I have been volunteering since a very young age approximately twelve years old. The first place being Troxell and Mohr Physical therapy. Then as I got older I got heavily involved in the church and became a youth group leader for Theology of the Body at St. Joachim Catholic church. I would be part of a team who would organize weekly meetings organize retreats for confirmation candidates, The further I got into highschool the more difficult I found it to be to find time to volunteer due to the AP and Honors courses I was taking. I however, did not stop for a six month period I lived in Los Angeles due to problems at home. While in Los Angeles I found a self-help motivational program called Transformacion, that helps people work on themselves

Ever since I was little, I’ve always wanted to help people. Being a Boy Scout gave me the opportunity to do so. When I was eight years old I joined the cub scouts which began my life long campaign of helping people. I started off learning to take the oath to serve the people weather it be by the organization or myself. I assisted by selling popcorn for charity organizations ( The San Antonio Food Bank and The Knights of Columbus) or for money that we needed for our camp out trips.…

Rationale for Seeking Specialization in a Clinical Counseling Program After reading the overview of Capella University’s Master of Mental Health Counseling program and speaking with one of your advisors, I understand that this particular program will help me get right to where I would like to be in my profession, which is a Licensed Professional Counselor. There honestly isn’t any population of people that I’m not interested in working with, after taking different courses in my undergraduate program, I found myself interested in working with all populations of people. It has always been a desire of mine to help others in any way that I possibly could. A main reason that I loved helping others came from watching my mother help others as…

A veteran to me is a patriotic, unselfish, brave, and courageous person, who would sacrifice time from their families to serve and protect our nation. As Jeff Miller once said, “The willingness of America’s Veterans to sacrifice for our country has earned them our lasting gratitude.” Veterans from every country have served throughout many wars. They have put their blood, sweat, and effort into doing the right and beneficial thing for their nation. Being a veteran means not only to serve in the military, but it means to have the selflessness and courage to go off to war to ensure the freedom of the nation.…

I started building my foundation for community service back in fifth grade with Girl Scouts. My troop volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House, read to kindergartners, and organized food at the food pantry. I continued these acts all the way up through eighth grade. In high school, I joined Key Club, where I sold flowers for powder puff, volunteered at my elementary school’s Trunk or Treat, and helped with the book and coat drive. Outside of school, I continued serving in my church through events like VBS.…

In my initial phase of volunteering at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, I spent 24 hours learning to professionally transport and communicate with patients. Following training, I commenced my role as a hands-on-care volunteer at DFCI. I currently provide cancer patients with hand massage as they undergo their infusion. IVs are often placed in various regions of the hand so I learn to adapt to differing circumstances to maximize the care and relaxation each patient receives.…

From then on I have helped every year at the St. Michael's Church in Emlenton and I have helped with so many things during Vacation Bible School. Some of the stuff I help with Vacation Bible School was food, crafts, and games and they started a new thing last year that you take picture of the kids doing actives about god and how much we love him.…

If only there would have been more people volunteering, then so much more people could have been helped. And if more people can be help, then the suffering on earth can be ease. The big problem is that everyone is so busy with their personal life that they forget about the importance of helping others. A positive aspect I saw was that those who were already volunteering were really dedicated and kind hearted. I believe they are making a big impact on every person they touched and made it a task to spread their kindness.…
