My Visions For America

Decent Essays
When asked to write about my visions for America it is hard to put just a few of the many things you wish to see change for the better in our beloved nation. My visions for America entails three key components: Peace, safety, and equal opportunities.
Peace is a major vision of mine when it comes to make America better. Today we have so much hate and violence that covers up the good in America. Shootings, war, bullying, and terrorist, it is sad to see the way America is heading. My vision for America would be to erase all of that and have a nation that isn’t worried constantly if something could go wrong. I would like to see a nation that is willing to pick each other up when we fall , care for each other, and treat everyone like human beings.

America’s future vison is continually changing. It appears that regardless of the ideas one sets for America it is never followed through. George Washington, one of America’s first great leaders and presidents, warned the young nation not to allow factions, such as political parties and foreign affairs to take part in United States. My vison for America is that we once again regain a clean slate by paying off foreign debts, allow more advanced teachings in schools, and reducing waste and pollutants. The foreign debt America has gained, in today’s day and age, is the highest it has ever been.…

"I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed - we hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal," were the words once spoken by Martin Luther King Jr. His vision was that one day, “little black boys and little black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.” These notions are being regarded in our everyday lives. He spoke with ethos, pathos and logos- appealing to a variety of cultures.…

Thomas Jefferson’s vision for the nation was a perfect, homogenous Republic. He believed everyone in the nation had to be equal, speak the same language, and live the same. Those that followed their sense of moral were fit to be in this nation, but those that could not could not stay. He saw slavery as white men violating African American rights, but also as white men not being able to control themselves. Thomas Jefferson saw African Americans as a threat to this perfect society, that even if slavery was to be abolished, African Americans would have to leave their nation.…

Summer Slininger Latino: The Changing Face of America is a documentary that dives deep into the fact that in the future the United States will face a demographic shift and Latinos will become the largest demographic group. Roxane Frias created this documentary to inform people about how the Latino population will begin to have a large influence on the United Sates future within politics and communities. This movie was an eye opener for me, as before watching this film I was oblivious to many of the facts that were spread throughout the film. When the film began to talk about how the presidential candidates need to receive the Latino vote in order to win presidency, I was a little weary on that fact.…

To properly answer this question, we first have to identify what exactly the founding fathers vision actually was. Now, we obviously can't say for certain, as they lived over two hundred years ago, but we can formulate an educated guess by examining quotes from the founding fathers, their actions, and the constitution itself. Although, even in their quotes, the founding fathers do seem to contradict each other, as well as occasionally themselves. However, amongst the other contradictory and some simply incomprehensible quotes, these three, by Thomas Jefferson and George Washington, stand out: "To take a single step beyond the text would be to take possession of a boundless field of power." - Thomas Jefferson "The basis of our political systems…

    Ideal Of America

For centuries in America, the ideal of the country as a prominent example of liberty and prosperity has been encapsulated in the country's self-given title "a city upon a hill. " This name's origin lies in Governor John Winthrop's 1630 sermon "A Modell of Christian Charity," in which he shares his vision of making the Massachusetts Bay colony the world's pinnacle of godliness, peace, and fraternity. Since then it has evolved into a sentiment applied to the United States as a whole, which is that it is, as President Reagan said, "a tall proud city" that is "teeming with people of all kinds living in harmony and peace [and] humming with commerce and creativity." Today I believe that, for the most part, this country has lived up to these ideals.…

In the future I would like to see America free of any wars, reduced violence, corruption, and just basically have a safe and peaceful environment for future generations. We need to be a nation that disregards drugs, violence, gangs, terrorism, and racism. Though some of these things may not be totally completely dismissed on the spot, they’re not a façade; we can do great things if we’d just demand and be a little more determined. If everyone demanded peace instead of another television set, then there’d be peace. Some might say that it’s a waste of time or it can't be accomplished or fulfilled, but time you enjoy wasting is not wasted.…
