My Vision For America's Future

“We the People of the United States.” These 7 words created and unified a country unlike any the world had ever seen before. We live in a country founded on equality and opportunity. A country with a new future, in the hands of a generation that hasn’t even been named yet, with new needs, values and ideas. In school, we hear a lot about futures. We are advised on how to better our futures, and told of the people who did the same. We learn of the men who gave us our future, who wrote those fateful words, “We the People.” What we don’t hear about is the future of those who come next. I envision America’s future as a culture. A culture that we claim to hold but fail to achieve. A culture to be defined by acceptance and service. Those who have come before us had visions for our futures. They fought for their visions, and created the future that we are privileged to live today. Because of their sacrifices, the future we envision will not come with a fight of bloodshed. It will, however, come with a fight against prejudice and greed. A better future means a better mindset. My vision for America is a vision of acceptance and support. A culture that honors the values of our past and the developing tolerance of the present. …show more content…
You notice someone's clothes, hair and attitude, and think you’ve cracked the code. Do you think that everything inside you can be easily observed by a stranger walking by you, based solely on what you look like? Then why do you think you can do the same? We have accepted judgement instead of people. Our societal mindset has been molded to believe we are better than those less fortunate than us. We think having more money or a better education means we are too good to even get to know others who

America’s future vison is continually changing. It appears that regardless of the ideas one sets for America it is never followed through. George Washington, one of America’s first great leaders and presidents, warned the young nation not to allow factions, such as political parties and foreign affairs to take part in United States. My vison for America is that we once again regain a clean slate by paying off foreign debts, allow more advanced teachings in schools, and reducing waste and pollutants. The foreign debt America has gained, in today’s day and age, is the highest it has ever been.…

America, since the beginning, has experienced an overwhelming sense of hope and optimism which has driven its citizens to becoming better not only individually, but also as a whole. This optimism has been derived from hope, and combined with optimism, one finds the American dream. However, dreams are somewhat opinionated and history has taught that one individuals dream could very well be another ’s nightmare. Nevertheless, in Foners Voices of Freedom four prominent individuals not only from the United States, but from around the world try to shine light on dreams that are often left in the dark.…

My fellow citizens: With every inauguration in this country we fortify the seedling of our country: the decrepit two centuries old constitution. All standing before me, we are American even though some weren't born upon American soil, but rather united on the belief that we choose to hold in an archive written centuries ago by the brilliant authors that came before us. Although these words may be documented on paper, they alone are worthless. It is our job in government to execute these duties- by the people, for the people. We can bond over the common goal to change this country for the better in the future and work with each other to do so. Roosevelt best describes the relationship between American citizens as “The realization that we are all bound together by the hope of a common future rather than by reverence for a common past has helped us to build upon this continent a unity unapproached in any similar area or population in the whole world.” This idea brings us together as a nation, as it provokes a sense of hope and unity. In addition to this, practically every American citizen shares at least one goal, which is to live the American Dream. This notion of the American Dream can’t be clearly defined, though, as the term means different things to different people.…

The core ideal of the Declaration of Independence, written by Thomas Jefferson on the fateful July 4th of 1776, is equality. This seemingly simple idea is echoed throughout the document. From when Jefferson writes “all men are created equal” to when he starts to conclude the manifesto with “free and independent states”, the image that is imprinted on any reader’s mind is that of a country that has never before been created; one of true brotherhood and equality. Unfortunately, since I was born in 1998, America has moved further away from Thomas Jefferson and the Founding Father’s vision of America.…

My Vision For America I feel America would be a better place if more money was granted for the development of better technology for the greater good, in all, a more advanced technology would allow for cheaper and more healthier foods, homes and other services. Better technology will open up hardly what seems a finite choice of new opportunities for safety, prosperity and the general wellfare of the environment. New technology can bring on, not just physical changes, but also of that of the human consciousness, with new ideas and intriguing philosophy to give people a new outlook of the world for change of the better, for simularities to oppose differences, for peace to victor over war and ultimately for Americans to help make the world a better place, not just for us, our country and our children, but for all of us. I see fit for conditions of the environment to be properly taken care of so that clean air, ground and water can be accessed to all. These projects of terraformation would add prodigiously to the overall state of Americans, sparking more cheerfull and stressless lives.…

In the video “Political Culture,” Thomas Patterson describes the origins and distinctiveness of American’s political ideals, illustrates the acceptance of these ideas by future generations (and challenges they pose), and provides examples of how these ideals affect today’s politics. When colonists questioned Britain’s authority over their public and private lives, the American Revolution was initiated and later ended with the colonies being freed from British rule. As a result, the colonies developed an important set of ideas such as the right of freedom, liberty, rights, and justice. These ideas, compiled in one writing known as the American Creed, was embraced by succeeding generations. Subsequently, rights were expanded to include minorities…
