The decision to pick up the violin in the sixth grade has permanently stamped an impact on my life. After moving across the state line due to my parents filing their divorce, I was enrolled in a new middle school where I was required to take a fine arts class. I decided that joining the orchestra and playing violin would be my easy route to get the credit. I had no idea or intentions of actually thriving in the skill. Never having picked up any sort of instrument, I began my violin journey in last chair.
