She was really popular and pretty. I wanted to be just like her and I looked up to her. She was rich; she had nice clothes and a cell phone—something I wasn’t allowed to have. I wanted everything she had. As time went on, I tried to be like her. I also trusted her so I told her all my secrets. The note said, “Brittney, I know you like me and I like you, too. Meet me at the dining hall on Wednesday at 8 a.m. -Bo Lomax." I was so happy but something seemed wrong. The handwriting was too girly for it to be his. As time went on, I realized that I had been lied to. This was not the only problem I faced with her. One day when she was with her friends, she was telling them things that were untrue. That day when I was leaving, one of her friends yelled, "Brittney Parks is a lesbian!" in front of the whole school. My face turned red and I started crying. I wrote more on the issue "Why We Hate The Smart Kids" by Grant Penrod. I'm going to argue with the author on this one because I agree with everything he is trying to teach us in this article. For many students in high school or even college, it's the best time for them, most of them only come for the sports or the debate teams. In any high school, there are many different groups like; the jocks, the boring kids, the stoners, and the nerds. Out of all the groups I have said the one that gets the most heat are the nerds.…

I was never physically or verbally bullied as a child. I was shy and soft spoken; therefore, I never did anything to attract attention to myself. Instead of harassment, I had more difficulty dealing with isolation. Though this is not same type of bullying we had seen in the video, it did make me depressed and abandoned. I typically felt this while attending McKinley High School.…

Confusing ‘Ole Me and My Cultural Identity There are a lot of things that have made me the boy/man I am today. Cultural identity is the ‘proper’ term for it, it makes me ‘me’. My cultural identity is something I have never really thought about until now. Classifying myself by the experiences in my life is new to me, but, if I had to, I would consider myself a southern wrestling cycling nerd who is quite the character with a few secrets to go along with it.…
