Reflecting back on my very first interaction with a client to where I am today, I am amazed as to how different I feel about the process. Initially, I didn’t embrace my role with confidence. Today, I am confident in my role as a social worker, able to handle any situation. I can apply what has been taught (theories and techniques) and embrace what lies ahead with empathic, strategic, compassion and motivation that drives me to have a rewarding career as a social worker in all aspects. I look forward to the challenges ahead. I believe that I have the skills necessary to build a positive working relationship with clients. I think that my interaction with clients over time has built trust, and have a rapport with me that enables a trusting relationship.
