My Trip To Disneyland-Personal Narrative

“OMG! Really?!” I exclaimed.
“Yes, we will be going on a road trip to Disneyland. But we aren’t going to just Disneyland, you know,” my mom announced.
“Yeah, we will be going to a bunch of different states and seeing lots of different sites. It will take about a month, as well,” dad added.
I sat there in shock. I really wanted to go to Disneyland but a month long trip? What about my friend’s birthday party and the beginning of summer slumber party?
“OK...I’m in, but we can’t leave right now because I have a surprise party to throw!” I said smiling.
My parents grinned at each other and nodded, as a sign of agreement.

Then, a week later.
“Mom! I finished packing. Should I bring the dog treats?” I asked.
“Sure,” she responded.

Two years ago, my boyfriend and I brought his two daughters to Six Flags Great Adventure in NJ for the first time. We all loved roller coasters, except for the youngest daughter because she had never been on a roller coaster before. I knew that if she did not go on a ride that my boyfriend would have to stay behind her. When we were walking into the park, I continued to tell her that I know she will go on all the roller coasters. She would then respond to me each time with “No I won’t”.…

When I was younger on my twelfth birthday I had been given two options that I would receive as a present. My mother would either take me to Six Flags or she would buy me a mini motorcycle. Still until this day I wonder why she allowed me to get one a year later.…

Throughout my life I have experienced many events have laid down the foundation for the future I am building. One of the most influential and eye-opening was a trip I took to Yosemite National Park during my junior year of high school. The trip was offered to high school students in Northern California, provided by the McConnell Foundation- an independent foundation that awards grants to nonprofit organizations, public education, and government entities. The goal of the trip was to educate students on the importance of the national park, learn about its ecology, explore its natural wonders, and to interact with and meet other students.…
