When I was a kid, my uncle Barney was my favorite person in the world, not to say he isn’t still now. He was the one who would buy me cheese balls and let me eat as much of the bag as my little heart desired. He’d let my sister and I sing karaoke on our High School Musical game as loudly as we wanted to even though I know we sounded horrid and he had to plug his ears at times. He now works as loss prevention at Younker’s. After my uncle landed a job we all noticed an emotional change in him. He was in better moods and just seemed happier overall. He’s still paranoid about paying everyone back whenever he has the chance, but he doesn’t stress out about anything anymore. Sure he isn’t quite as flippant with his money as he was when my siblings and I were kids, but he’s still always trying to buy me cookies and a Mountain Dew when I’m at his house. He’s still the one I go to if I want to go see my boyfriend, he even drove him home in early morning after all the prom festivities. My uncle Barney just wants to make us all happy, even if he denies that
