Personal Narrative Essay About Grandpa

As a child every girl wants to know that their dad will always be there for them, since they are their little girls. Well, unfortunately, my parents weren’t together, and I didn’t get to spend as much time with my dad. Although this should’ve upset me, it actually really didn’t affect me because I got to spend more time with my grandpa.
Although I don’t remember everything we did, whenever I look back at my photo albums from when I was younger, I only smiled whenever I was with my grandpa. He was one of the most kind hearted people I ever knew.
He always liked messing with me, because he said I was very serious like my grandma and I needed to enjoy life. Once I actually woke up and forgot to brush my hair so when I got up my hair looked back but I couldn’t find my hairbrush. So from then on everytime he saw me he’d say, “¿Y el cepillo?” and I would just laugh because he wouldn’t let it go. Now being in a Hispanic family like mine weight is an issue so we all make fun of each other for being big. My mom would always tell my grandparents that I was on a diet. Then whenever I stayed over and my grandpa would buy pizza and I’d reach for a slice he’d say, “¿No estas a dieta?” and I’d just look at him and make a silly face and say

After about fifteen minutes my uncle ended up storming out of the house while my aunt was shouting, “ Where are you going?! We have to go to Chicago!”. Then my cousin and I started to get worried but she just simply woke up everyone else and told them to get ready because we were leaving. After she walked to her room I started to clean up the living room a bit and apparently my cousin had been listening on my aunt’s phone call. She came over to me and said that she heard her telling my sister something about her dad and how it was bad.
