My Three Most Important Values In Life

“Value and appreciate the people who sacrifice their something for you. Because maybe that something was their everything” –unknown. This message was something that was instilled in me at a very young age, to value your family, value your life but most importantly give thanks and value those who’ve sacrificed there everything for you no matter how big or small. It’s that way of thinking that’s gotten me to where I am today and for that my three most important values in life are my family, my children, and to teach my children the true meaning of values. My First essential value in life are my loving and very influential parents and siblings. Growing up we never had much but we never wanted for anything as well, we were your typical hard working blue collar family. My parents taught me to not only take care of and value my possessions but to also take care of and value my younger sibling as I was the oldest boy. I was very protective of my brother and sisters and took great pride in being a big brother. Just like recipes are past down from generation to generation values, goals etc. are as well. At a young age my parents exposed me to very adult like situations about life and it’s my goal as a father to take those values, Tweak them a bit and teach them to my children as well. The Jones family code of ethics so to speak. I want my children to value each other, value their parents, education, and always value hard work. The only way I know to do so is to lead my example, for I am the person they look up to. I want them to base most of their decision growing up off this simple concept “what would dad do”.
