Here is my evaluation of my peers’ review. On the scale of 1 to 5, Hannah Vassar’s review is ranked number 5. She was very helpful with her suggestions such as she changed a few of my sentences to make them sound better. She also was very thorough and caught some mistakes that I would not have caught if she would not have reviewed it. For example, she caught a mistake I made in my header about not capitalizing a letter in my address.…

Receiving feedback when writing my analysis of this article can have many benefits. Feedback, when included in the final project, can be used as a tool to not only to improve but to see that you are on track with what you are working on. What score did you give yourself and why? After reviewing my annotated bibliography, alongside the midterm rubric, I believe my work falls in the 50-43 range. The APA citations are accurate, although, two needed a bit more indentation. The credibility of each resource is explained thoroughly, as well as the main ideas of each article while going into detail on why each source was beneficial to the “paper” at hand.…

After I was done reading the start of her essay, I just stared at her. I did not have much positive feedback to give to her. I could tell it was not her best work. I felt as though she was not explaining her ideas clearly and her commentary on her evidence was not as strong as her contributions to class discussions. I suggested that she should write more before I share my…

Watching Selma reminded me much of the black lives matter movement going on in today’s society Black lives matter can be said to address issues ongoing today such as the criminal justice system. As discussed in class there are many issues concerning the criminal justice system mainly, mass incarceration impacting minorities resulting from the said “war on drugs.” Issues in the pass and current issues that concern people of color are much different, as we know.…

Self-Evaluation Essay Little did I know that I was going to learn a lot more than I thought throughout the semester in ENGL 1433. I began the course dreading reading and writing. I just wanted to be done with the class before the class began and go back to science classes. Despite these initial thoughts and preconceived notions, I did, for the most part, enjoy the class.…

However, the feedback I received on my assignment helped me recognise my personal strengths and weaknesses and to develop on areas I needed to improve in order to get a better grade. I was able to cite a variety of relevant sources, thinking back I feel I need to review my research strategies. I still somewhat struggle when it comes down to researching a topic, therefore my main goal is to expand my sources and be able to improve my referencing abilities by the sources I consult and what I do with my findings. I need to plan which primary and secondary sources will help me find the material I need and to ensure I refer to in force and up to date materials. I was marked down and this was quite possibly due to me not citing authoritative sources and not using the OSCOLA referencing style guide accurately.…
