Reflection Paper On Theology

Prior to beginning Theology 201 this semester, I did not have a deep theological understanding of God or His Word. Although I acquired a basic foundation of theology throughout my personal devotional time, and my pre-requisite classes such as Biblical Worldview, Old and New Testament Survey, this course established deeper roots in my theological understanding, which will continue to grow over the course of my education and throughout life. From the beginning of this semester, I have developed a greater understanding of God regarding His character, power, and desire to personally know me as His daughter. Over the last eight weeks, my view of theology has changed from unappreciative to appreciative, while developing an understanding of the importance of growing in my theological knowledge, not only to become closer to my Creator, but to be able to practically integrate theology into my everyday life. …show more content…
This assignment challenged me to conduct research within my textbook, Bible and other outside resources in order to prove that Christ is actively involved in His creation. As I continued to research, I discovered how great His desire is to know me and the immeasurable amount of power He contains in order to do so. As I continued to grow in my understanding of God, my relationship with Him began to flourish as well. Developing a deeper understanding of God, not only gives you wisdom regarding Christ and His Word, it also creates a hunger and thirst to learn more in order to create a strong relationship between you and your Father. At the beginning of this semester, I saw theology as another pre-requisite I needed to check off my degree- completion plan, but over these last eight weeks, I’ve grown to appreciate the importance of theology and its life changing
