If I were to choose one song to represent my senior year, it would be “I Lived” by OneRepublic. In this song, the lead singer is basically sending a message to his young son. Ryan, the lead singer, encourages his son to be brave, smart, and tough as he faces life. Most of all, Ryan advises him to live his life to the fullest, so that one day, he may be able to look back and know that he gave the world everything he had. I like this song, because it relates to how I look at life, especially my senior year. My senior year is full of days where I look back and talk about some of my favorite moments of high school with my friends and classmates, and we all smile at our most cherished memories with each other. Each time this happens, I have this feeling of satisfaction and happiness because of all the memories I made throughout my busy high school days. Throughout high school, I have been involved in everything, and did my best succeed in all of my schooling and activities. The chorus begins with, “I did it all, I did it all. When I think of the lyrics, I think about my hopes and dreams in life, and as of right now, all of that depends on my senior year. The final verse of the song includes this, “I hope that you spend your days, but they all add up. And when that sun goes down, I hope you raise your cup.” In this verse, the father is wishing that his son is pleased with his experiences and adventures when his life comes close to an end. For me, this is how I hope to feel on my graduation day. I hope that I will be able to look at everything I’ve done, and have no regrets as my senior year comes to an end. Most of all, I want to be able to smile and say, “I
