My Team-Personal Narrative

Jogging back down to the other end of the court I remember seeing all the fans in bright red erupt out of their seats as my team scored the ball to put us up by one point. All I could hear was a loud ringing noise and I knew it was because of the moment and how big it was for us, I couldn't take it all in at once. I turn around to see the opposing team heading down the court, so I told myself, “ Calm down, this is what we want.” As he came down the court he signaled for an isolation against me. I focused in to the point where I could only see him in my vision and only hear the ball bouncing against the floor along with the time beeping down. …show more content…
This was the big moment and he took a big opportunity with it, he came down and made a move that shifted me to the left as he went in the opposite direction, I knew the only way to get back was to have a great mistake response and to play with all my strength. All odds were against us, it seemed that he had a wide open lane, so I ran as fast as ever, like a cheetah and as soon as he released the ball, I jumped and it seemed like I was towering over him and I knocked the ball off it's course! The ball hit the backboard and bounced to the top of the key as the time went down and the buzzer went off. It was over we were the champs of the Orlando tournament. We all piled on top of each other in joy because we also knew we had one more day to spend and we could spend it as champions. This whole situation made me feel special and like I belonged here, it's something I won't ever

My soccer team was together for a very long time and we were all great friends. As we kept getting older we needed more girls to have enough to play and they always fit right in with us and got to know us very well. That changed this fall when the team split. None of us were happy, at least six or seven girls quit playing soccer and I was one of them. A few girls went to different clubs but the rest went to CBSC ( Council Bluffs Soccer Club) but I didn’t because I’m not a big fan of soccer anymore. After getting hurt all the times I did in soccer I realized that it's not worth it if you’re going to be out for a third of the season and if your injury makes you miss out on other sports.…

I lived about twelve blocks away from the school so by the time I got to my house I was heavily panting, but that didn’t stop me I was too eager to go to that game. When I finally got upstairs, I grabbed my bag and was ready to go, so was my grandmother. We pulled into the lot of the stadium and could hear all the roaring and chanting coming from it. We also could smell all the outstanding foods; we didn’t know whether it was coming from the stadium or the people that were grilling in the parking lot. My grandmother finally found a parking space and we headed inside.…
